Set up sites and attendance expectations
Define the locations relevant to your team and configure the attendance checks your company needs. A service team may report to different customer sites, while a sales team may begin the day across a territory. Make the expected process clear before employees start using mobile attendance.
Record a punch with useful context
The mobile attendance flow supports geotagged punches, selfies and odometer information according to the workflow. The recorded location helps managers assess the punch against configured location rules. A location mismatch is something to review; it should not automatically be treated as proof of misconduct.
Understand location accuracy
GPS accuracy depends on the phone, device permissions, surroundings and available location samples. Buildings, low connectivity and disabled permissions can create gaps or inaccurate positions. Test the workflow on actual field devices and review exceptions alongside the employee’s explanation.
Review the working day beyond attendance
A punch records an attendance event; it is different from continuous route history or a completed client visit. Use day plans, visits and recorded routes to understand the rest of the working day. Managers can review attendance and regularization requests through the available permission-based workflows.
